Taking the Time To Care

Elizabeth Martin
Butler Rural Electric

Throughout Beth’s 27 year career, she has been responsible for all facets of billing and collections. She has never lost her compassion, empathy or professionalism, even in the most trying situations.

For many years, Beth organized our annual “Holiday Harvest” program, collecting much needed food, clothing and toys for our members.  She has also served on the Board of Trustees of the local Salvation Army and has established many valuable contacts throughout the community. This includes governmental agencies, churches and private individuals that want to help those in need.  With a simple phone call, Beth can put in “a good word” or put “a bug in the right person’s ear” to make the wheels start turning.

Beth doesn’t always depend on someone else to make things happen, she has been known to purchase and donate clothing, food, toys and has made personal monetary contributions to make someone else’s life more comfortable.

Beth’s compassion does not stop with our members and community. She regularly takes in stray animals and has been a regular volunteer as well as an advocate for local animal adoption centers.

In summary, Beth takes the time to care!
